Pro General Comments: What's the deal? Why isn't Joe McGowan a star? Have major labels and radio programmers not been invited to this "party"?I love the loop drums under the intro. The intro sets up the listener for an invitation to a sonic party.I am astounded by the vocal here. Seemingly effortlessly rolling through a BIG range. Love the lower end as well as the falsetto. I mention Andy Grammer but I would also compare favorably to James Taylor and other great 70s and 80s singer songwriters.Now let me address the lyric. This could have easily been just another reading of country/pop cliches and other dreadful dreck, but no! Mr. McGowan, you have found a way to shine a new light on a familiar topic and I salute you. You are a badass!Let's talk about the track. It rocks and supports the lyric and melody without ever getting in the way.And if that pink party dress is that great, I'd REALLY like to see this woman!All things considered, in my opinion this is a springtime summertime smash waiting to be discovered.
