Pro General Comments: Hi Allison, this is a pretty cool song - I love the lyric, and the heart of it. It resonates as real and honest, which is the heart of any great songwriter. I do think genre-wise it falls more into pop/songwriter/Americana than country. Today's country market is really specific sonically and lyrically, and this is a bit outside that. I do love your opening line, and I like your singing voice a lot. The recording quality is not master quality (for sync) but is good enough to be a clear, quality demo. Overall, my question for you is whether you want to be an artist yourself, or you want to write for others? If you are an artist this is a really good song for you that I can see people relating to in the pop or Americana market. If you're writing for other artists, I encourage you to study the Mediabase Top 30 country charts, both melodically, production and lyrics. You clearly have the ability to write a poignant, well-crafted tune, the question is how commercial you want to go in your pursuit. That said, I do think it's good. So it's up to you how much to study and craft more for the current sound. There's a certain specific way of writing for country that takes a lot of work, but I think you have the natural talent to go there if you want to!

Quote From Pro: A solid, heartfelt pop song that resonates with emotion and honesty.
