Pro General Comments: Overall, this is very strong. A nicely written lyric and melody, great production and a solid vocal. My main concern is that it feels a bit more like late 90s early 00s country than the current radio sound, though there are a few artists like Cody Johnson (and even Luke Combs to some extent) who are doing more of these throwback tunes. That said, one thing that has to change to pitch this is the length of the song. A ballad at 420 is a very difficult pitch. Now, if you're the artist, and this is your ballad, that's okay, but if you want other artists to cut it, try to get a version down to three and a half minutes for sure. The trick with ballads is that most artists only put one on each album, so it's really tough to get those cut. This could slide into midtempo territory with a few bpms up, which could be worthwhile depending on your intent with the song. I like the singer a lot, and the production is good (only a little past tense, just enough to slip through). The topic/lyric has been written often, but this one feels unique enough that I don't expect that to come into play at all. Overall, better writing than a lot of what I review, and definitely a very strong presentation.
Quote From Pro: Well-sung, gorgeous throwback country ballad about the heartache of a lonely house, sung with conviction and written with a storytelling heart.
